Dangote Refinery Resumes Naira-Denominated Fuel Sales, Raises Prices
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced revised prices for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), signalling a return to naira-denominated pricing for its customers.
In a notice issued to customers, the refinery said the new prices took effect on July 22, 2026, covering petrol supplied through its gantry and coastal delivery channels.
The refinery had a week ago switched domestic fuel sales from naira to US dollars for the third time since March 2025, invalidating all previously issued naira-denominated pro forma invoices and deal recaps for coastal and gantry sales.
Under the revised pricing structure, the gantry price increased from ₦1,075 to ₦1,215 per litre, representing a rise of ₦140, or about 13 per cent.
The coastal price also rose from ₦1,441,575 to ₦1,602,495 per metric tonne, an increase of ₦160,920, or approximately 11.2 per cent.
“You are advised to return all ATCs for repricing, and a new volume contract will be issued for immediate loading resumption. Kindly proceed with placing your order,” the company said in the notice signed by its Group Commercial Operations.
