BUA Foods’ Profit Soars as Flour Business Delivers Most Revenue Growth
Nigeria’s biggest listed company by market capitalisation, BUA Foods, saw its profit after tax soared to N507.73 billion in 2025 from N265.99 billion in the previous year.
Its revenue grew by 18% year-on-year to N1.80 trillion, with the flour division accounting for the most increase in turnover.
The sugar division contributed 42% to revenue as it generated N756.7 billion, up 3% compared to 2024.
Revenue from the flour business increased by 27% to N746.8 billion, accounting for 41% of the total turnover. “The growth in revenue is due to both increased volume and our strategic pricing mechanisms during the period under review,” BUA Foods said in an earnings release.
The pasta division contributed 11% to revenue as it generated N202.7 billion, up 3% compared to the previous year.
The Rice division contributed 6% to the revenue . Revenue increased significantly to N98.1 billion from N5.7 billion due to steady milling operations in the division, the company said.
