Aradel Taps ex-DPR Boss to Replace Jadesimi as Chair
Aradel Holdings Plc, a Nigerian independent oil company, has appointed a former director of the Department of Petroleum Resources, Augustine Olorunsola, as an interim chairman.
The company had announced on May 30 that the retirement of Ladi Jadesimi as chairman was communicated to shareholders at its 30th annual general meeting on May 28.
It said in a statement on Friday that the board of directors passed a resolution on Thursday that Olorunsola, a non-executive director of the company, be appointed as an interim chairman, with effect from July 9.
Olorunsola, an industry veteran with over 40 years of experience, is the country chairman of the Energy Institute and chairman/CEO of Energetikos Limited. After 10 years in petroleum geoscience roles in Agip-ENI, he spent 22 years with Shell International in leading positions in corporate planning and economics.
