HOSTAFRICA, a web-hosting company in Africa, has completed the acquisition of GO54 (formerly known as WhoGoHost), another operator based in Nigeria.
The acquisition marks the beginning of rapid expansion in the continent and will offer GO54 clients advanced hosting services, scalable solutions, and more responsive assistance, according to a statement.
“We are thrilled to welcome GO54 to the HOSTAFRICA family officially,” said Michael Osterloh, CEO of HOSTAFRICA. “This partnership has been carefully planned with the GO54 team. We are eager to work together to elevate the hosting experience for customers in Nigeria and beyond.”
The acquisition of GO54 will make HOSTAFRICA the leading domain provider in Nigeria. GO54 was founded in 2007, serving over 130,000 customers in Nigeria, its primary market. In September 2023, the Nigerian company acquired SendChamp, a cloud communications startup that powers online messaging for African businesses for an undisclosed fee. That acquisition granted GO54 access to SendChamp’s customers and its customer support solutions.
Under HOSTAFRICA, the African web hosting company has committed to a seamless transition process to ensure uninterrupted service.
