Airtel Africa is Latest Firm to Hit N10trn Valuation on Nigerian Bourse
Airtel Africa, the second-largest telecommunications company in Nigeria, saw its share price surge by the maximum daily limit of 10 percent on Wednesday, becoming the fifth listed company to reach a market capitalisation of N10 trillion.
The telco joined Dangote Cement, MTN Nigeria Communications, BUA Foods and BUA Cement in the elite club of companies with a valuation of at least N10 trillion. Its valuation climbed to N10.32 trillion from N9.38 trillion on Tuesday, according to data from the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
Dangote Cement was the first listed company to hit the N10 trillion milestone in January 2024, with MTN reaching the threshold on 1 August 2025 and BUA Foods following six days later. BUA Cement joined the club on 16 March this year.
MTN remains the most valuable company on the bourse with a market cap of N15.31 trillion, followed by BUA Foods at N14.36 trillion and Dangote Cement at N13.67 trillion.
