MTN Regains Crown as Most Valuable Firm, Ends BUA Foods’ Six-Month Reign

MTN Nigeria Communications has regained its crown as the most valuable company on the stock exchange just over six months after losing it to BUA Foods Plc.

BUA Foods crossed N10 trillion in market capitalisation on 7 August 2025 for the first time, overtaking MTN Nigeria as the listed firm with the highest valuation.

The country’s biggest telecommunications company saw its market value rise from N13.71 trillion to N14.88 trillion on Friday, compared with BUA Foods’ N14.38 trillion.
