Dangote Refinery’s First Petrol Export to US Arrives at Port of New York
The first petrol export by Dangote Petroleum Refinery to the United States has arrived at the Port of New York.
“Today marks a historic milestone. For the first time, the Dangote Refinery has exported gasoline from Nigeria to the United States,” Aliko Dangote, president and chief executive of Dangote Industries Limited, said on his LinkedIn post on Thursday.
He added: “With the arrival of 320,000 barrels at the Port of New York, we are demonstrating not only Africa’s ability to meet the highest energy standards, but also its growing role in supplying the global market.
“I am honored to see that Nigeria, through this achievement, is asserting its leadership and paving the way for an Africa that no longer exports only its raw resources, but also its expertise and added value. Africa is ready. The world’s energy future can no longer be written without it.”
