Oil price tumbles to lowest since May 2021 amid Trump’s energy push
Brent crude, the global oil price benchmark, fell below the $70 mark on Thursday for the first time since May 2021.
Oil prices have dropped more than 10 percent since January 20, when US President Donald Trump said he would push ahead with his ‘drill, baby, drill’ campaign promise.
Brent spot price stood at $69.27 per barrel as of 4:30pm Nigerian time, according to oilprice.com.
