Construction firm Arbico exits Nigerian stock exchange 45 years after
Arbico Plc, a building and civil engineering construction company, has removed its shares from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) 45 years after listing.
Shareholders of the company, which was established in 1958 and listed on the bourse in 1978, had in March this year approved the voluntary delisting of the shares.
The NGX notified the market on May 17 of the suspension placed on trading in the securities of Arbico in preparation for the delisting.
“Following the approval of the company’s application to delist its entire issued share capital from the Nigerian Exchange Limited, please be informed that the entire issued share capital of Arbico were on Monday, 20 May 2024, delisted from the Daily Official List of NGX,” the bourse said on Friday.
