Four in Five Seplat Employees Earn Above N10m Monthly

Nearly 80 percent of employees on the Nigerian payroll of Seplat Energy took home the equivalent of more than N10 million per month in 2025, according to data from its financial statements analysed by Markets Reporters. 

A total of 1,506 employees, excluding directors but including 863 staff acquired through a business combination in December 2024, received remuneration for duties performed wholly or mainly in Nigeria. This represents an increase from 1,446 employees in 2024.

A breakdown of the company’s remuneration report shows that 1,200 of the employees fell into earnings brackets exceeding $80,000 (N121.3 million) per annum, or over N10 million monthly.

The largest segment of the workforce, numbering 780, earned between $80,001 and $200,000 (N303.4 million) per annum.

About 341 employees earned between $200,001 (N303.4 million) and $300,000 (N455.1 million). At the very top of the scale, 79 employees took home above $300,001 (N455.1 million).

Only 306 employees, representing about 20%, earned less than $80,000 (N121.3 million) last year.
