BUA Cement Proposes 388% Dividend Hike as Profit Surges Nearly Fivefold

BUA Cement Plc, Nigeria’s second-biggest producer of the building material, has proposed a sharp increase in dividend payment for the 2025 financial year as profit after tax jumped 382%.

The company’s board of directors has recommended a dividend of ₦10.00 per ordinary share, compared to the ₦2.05 paid out in the preceding year. This proposal is set for approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting. The final dividend payment will be subject to the deduction of the applicable withholding tax.

Profit after tax skyrocketed by 382% to ₦356.4 billion, compared to ₦73.91 billion recorded in 2024.

Income from contracts with customers climbed to ₦1.18 trillion from ₦876.47 billion in the prior year, underscoring strong market demand and operational execution.
