Cheetos Snack Debuts in Nigeria as PepsiCo Launches $20m Plant
PepsiCo, an American multinational corporation specialising in food, snacks, and beverages, has launched a new plant in Nigeria for the production of Cheetos snack.
The plant, which cost $20 million and is located in Lagos, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Cheetos is a brand of cheese-flavored puffed cornmeal snacks, and it is owned by PepsiCo through its subsidiary Frito-Lay.
The snack was invented by Charles Elmer Doolin in 1948.
