Dangote Cement Overtakes BUA Foods, Closes in on MTN for Top Market-Cap Spot

Dangote Cement has surpassed BUA Foods to become the second most valuable company listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), after its share price rose 7.22% on Tuesday to N1,040.

The rally lifted Dangote Cement’s market capitalisation to N17.54 trillion from N16.37 trillion on Monday, edging above BUA Foods’ N17.41 trillion, according to NGX data.

Meanwhile, MTN Nigeria Communications remains the most valuable stock, though its market cap fell to N17.55 trillion from N19.21 trillion a day earlier — leaving Dangote Cement just behind it.
