Dangote Cement Crosses N1,000 Share Price for First Time

Dangote Cement, Africa’s largest producer of the building material, has become the latest company on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to break the N1,000 share price threshold.

The stock gained 7.22% on Tuesday, closing at N1,040, up from N970 the previous day.

Other listed companies with share prices above N1,000 are Seplat Energy, Okomu Oil Palm, Presco, Nestlé Nigeria, Airtel Africa, Aradel Holdings and Geregu Power.

Oil producer Seplat — also listed on the London Stock Exchange — remains the most expensive stock on the NGX, closing at N11,495 on Tuesday.
