Aradel Surges Past Seplat to Become Nigeria’s Sixth Most Valuable Firm

Aradel Holdings has overtaken Seplat Energy to become the sixth most valuable company on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), after its market capitalisation jumped 9.07 percent on Tuesday to N5.65 trillion.

The stock closed at N1,300.40 per share, leaving it about 93 percent higher than its level during the company’s listing in October 2024.

In just over two months, the company’s valuation and share price have jumped by 94 percent from N2.91 trillion and N670 respectively at the end of last year, making it one of the exchange’s fastest‑appreciating large‑cap stocks year to date.

Seplat Energy’s market value stood at N5.46 trillion on Tuesday, up more than 56 percent so far this year. 

With a share price of N9,099.90, Seplat, which is also listed in London, remains the most expensive stock on the NGX.
