Okomu Oil Joins Rival Presco in Trillion-Naira Valuation Club
The market capitalisation of Okomu Oil Palm Plc hit the N1 trillion mark on Tuesday for the first time as its share price topped N1,000 apiece.
The palm oil producer saw its market value rise by about 5 percent from N953.91 billion on Monday as its share price increased to N1,050 from N1,000. Its biggest rival Presco Plc reached a N1 trillion valuation last month and closed at N1.55 trillion on Tuesday.
The membership of the exclusive club of listed companies with at least N1 trillion valuation has increased to 23.
Other members are MTN Nigeria Communications, Airtel Africa, Dangote Cement, BUA Foods, BUA Cement, Seplat Energy, Geregu Power, Aradel Holdings, Transcorp Power, Lafarge Africa, Transcorp Hotels, Guaranty Holding Company, Zenith Bank, Access Holdings, United Bank for Africa, Fidelity Bank, Nestle, Nigerian Breweries and International Breweries.
