[BREAKING] NNPC Withdraws Press Statement on Stock Listing

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has withdrawn its press statement on an initial public offering two hours after it was issued.

The NNPC had said it “is at the final stage of getting listed in the capital market, in keeping with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021”.

Its Chief Finance and Investor Relations Officer (CFIO), Olugbenga Oluwaniyi, was quoted as saying at a consultative meeting with partners on Thursday that the NNPC was currently engaging with prospective partners in an exercise tagged ‘NNPC Ltd. IPO Beauty Parade’.

The statement has been deleted from its social media platforms.
