Dangote Cement’s net profit hits N1trn for first time

Dangote Cement Plc saw its profit after tax hit the N1 trillion mark last year for the first time ever.

The company’s after-tax profit more than doubled to N1.03 trillion from N490.32 billion in the previous year, according to its earnings report released on Sunday. Its revenue jumped to N2.19 trillion from N1.3 trillion.

As a group, the cement maker, Africa’s largest, reported a net profit of N503.25 billion, up from N455.58 billion in 2023. Its revenue surged to N3.58 trillion from N2.21 trillion.

“On 28 February 2025, a dividend of ₦30.00 (2023: ₦30.00) per share was proposed by the directors for approval at the Annual General Meeting. This will result in dividends payment of ₦502.6 billion (2023: ₦502.6 billion),” Dangote Cement said.
