Guinness Nigeria pares losses as revenue rises 82%

Guinness Nigeria, a brewing company, saw its loss after tax for the six months ended December 31, 2024 decline compared to a year earlier.

The company reduced its net loss to N302.7 million from N5.23 billion as revenue grew to N259 billion from N142 billion. Nigeria is the company’s primary geographical segment as over 98% of the brewer’s revenue is earned from sales in the West African nation.

“Our H1’25 performance is a testament to our agility and determination to navigate economic challenges while focusing on long-term growth,” said new Managing Director, Girish Sharma.

“The 82.2% revenue increase reflects the effectiveness of our portfolio and geographic expansion, and the effective execution of key strategic priorities. As we continue to navigate a dynamic market landscape, we are committed to delivering value through operational excellence, innovation, and deepened stakeholder engagement.”
