Nigeria’s Narrative Landscape Press enters East African market

Narrative Landscape Press, a Lagos-based publishing company, has announced the establishment of Narrative Landscape Press East Africa (NLPEA).

Based in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, this new offshoot extends the legacy of Narrative Landscape Press and is set “to deliver great stories that inspire, challenge, and captivate readers locally and globally”, according to a statement on Friday.

The company expressed its commitment to amplifying “authentic African voices and providing a world-class platform for storytelling”.

“Narrative Landscape Press was built on a vision to tell authentic African stories, and this expansion into East Africa is our way of honouring that legacy,” said Eghosa Imasuen, co-founder of Narrative Landscape Press.

Anwuli Ojogwu, managing director and co-founder, said: “We are excited to collaborate with the region’s talented writers, enriching the literary landscape and creating a home for stories that resonate locally and globally.”

In addition to identifying, nurturing, and publishing remarkable works of fiction, non-fiction, and children’s writing by East African authors, NLPEA will offer its publishing services to organisations and individuals to produce high-quality publications tailored to their specific needs under its publishing services imprint, Prima, according to the statement.

Wendy Njoroge, co-founder and chief executive officer of NLPEA, said: “This is a new dawn for storytelling in East Africa. We are committed to providing a platform where stories from this region can thrive and reach audiences far and wide. To authors and storytellers, we invite you to partner with us on this exciting journey. Our stories, told our way, are ready to change the world.”
