Nigeria’s crude oil production hits 20-month high

Crude oil production in Nigeria rose by 14.41 percent in September to its highest level in 20 months, new official data seen by Markets Reporters show.

The country’s output increased to 1.35 million barrels per day from 1.18 million bpd in August, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission. 

The last time Africa’s biggest oil exporter produced more than 1.35 million bpd was January 2022, when its output stood at 1.39 million bpd, the NUPRC data show.
