Zenith exits trillion-naira club, Stanbic enters. GTCO now most valuable bank
Zenith Bank has left the club of firms that boast at least N1 trillion in market value while Stanbic IBTC Holdings has become its newest member, latest data from the Nigerian Exchange Limited show.
With Zenith’s market capitalisation falling to N974.86 billion on Tuesday, Guaranty Trust Holding Company, the holding company of GTBank, has become the most valuable lender with a valuation of N1.022 trillion.
Stanbic IBTC Holdings, the first midsize bank to join the club, saw its market value stand at N1.01 trillion as of Tuesday.
The other members are Dangote Cement (N5.69 trillion), MTN Nigeria Communications (N5.55 trillion), Airtel Africa (N4.85 trillion), BUA Foods (N3.54 trillion) and BUA Cement (N3.22 trillion).
