BUA sustains lead over Dangote in stock market value

BUA Group is the conglomerate with the biggest share of the total stock market value in Nigeria – a crown previously held by Dangote Industries Limited for many years.

The recent steep decline in the market value of Airtel Africa Plc paved the way for BUA Group to secure the crown.

Two of its subsidiaries, BUA Cement Plc and BUA Foods Plc, had a combined market capitalisation of N5.16 trillion as of Friday, accounting for 18.16 percent of the total market value of equities listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Dangote Industries Limited, which has three subsidiaries listed on the NGX – Dangote Cement Plc, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc and NASCON Allied Industries Plc – had a total market cap of N4.86 trillion as of Friday.
