Naira tumbles to 715 against pound sterling
The Nigerian currency weakened to 715 against the pound sterling at the parallel market on Tuesday from 710/£1 on Monday.
The naira remained unchanged at 502 against the dollar but strengthened to 605 against the euro, compared to 607/€1 on Monday.
Markets Reporters had reported on Friday that the naira fell to a record high of 502 per dollar at the parallel market from 499/$1 on Thursday. It tumbled to 710 per pound and 608 per euro from 703/£1 and 602/€1 on Thursday.
