SAHCO takes over BA’s ground handling services in Nigeria

Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc announced on Tuesday that it had taken over the ground handling services of British Airways in Nigeria.

SAHCO, in a notice filed with the Nigerian Stock Exchange, said it would be providing passenger and ramp handling services to British Airways at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The firm said it was able to attract and retain the confidence of British Airways due to the seamless, safe and speedy service delivery.

It said the move took effect with the handling of the evacuation flight which occurred on May 8, 2020.

SAHCO also announced that Air France had signed another warehousing contract with it at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The firm said the contract would enable it to provide cargo warehousing services for Air France throughout the country.

SAHCO currently handles Air France’s cargo warehousing in Lagos and Port Harcourt, according to the statement.
