Nestle Nigeria, a major fast-moving consumer goods company, posted a profit after tax of N50.57 billion in the first of the year compared with a loss of N176.91 billion a year earlier.
The company’s sales rose to N581.12 billion from N406.97 billion, according to its earnings report released on Tuesday.
It achieved early payment of $20 million inter-group foreign exchange debt in the second quarter of 2025.
“The robust topline growth of 43% and profit after tax of N50.6 billion in H1 2025 support our return to profitability which commenced in Q4 2024,” Wassim Elhusseini, its CEO/managing director, said. “We will continue to focus on improving our margin management while driving innovation and renovation to meet changing consumer needs.”
